His mom, Susan, didn’t know what to do. It was hard for her to watch Jacob become more and more isolated. Then, in 2013, Susan discovered an organization called Support Dogs.
Though the program, the family found a sweet yellow lab named Araminta, who they nicknamed Minta,
Minta completely changed the family’s life. Minta and Jacob immediately became best friends and inseperable. While Jacob would get upset if he had to go out in public, Susan says if Minta goes, Jacob no longer has any problems.
Susan is forever grateful to Minta and the difference the dog has made in her son’s life. “To go from wanting to be invisible to growing in confidence in everyday and wanting the world to see you. It’s amazing!”
